ONE PIECE: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE
A One Piece x Spider-Verse Zine
About
One Piece: Across the Spider-verse is an exciting, collaboration-based project that brings together artists and writers to delve into a crossover between the worlds of One Piece and Spider-verse.The zine centers around crafting "Spidersonas", imaginative renditions of One Piece characters as Spider-people. Artists will pitch a design, and writers will then be partnered with a Collab artist to further explore exactly how the design will come to life and what the world looks like.Collab artists can choose to create a full-page artwork that aligns with the story or contribute spot art to complement the narrative. Artists and writers will create stories and art inspired by each other.Since not all artists will be paired with a writer, Solo artists are more than welcome to apply! Writers, if your artist drops out, we may or may not pair you with a new partner.Unleash your creative prowess and become a part of this extraordinary zine, celebrating the exhilarating combination of One Piece and Spider-verse! Our contributor applications are open from August 25 to September 24, 11:59pm PST.Let’s craft something no world has ever seen, together!

Will the zine be physical or digital? | Thanks to the amount of interest we received on our Interest Check, the zine will be physical! |
Is there an age limit? | There is a 18+ age restriction. |
What are the requirements / expectation for artists / writers? | Please check out our guidelines. |
Can I share the WIPs online? | No, all work for the zine must be kept private until after the zine has concluded. However after creation phase, we will post previews of the work that's featured in the zine. |
Will the zine be free? | No. The proceeds from sales will be donated to a charity. The chosen charity will be determined after the interest check. |
What does ‘collaboration based project’ mean? | A collaboration-based project means that this zine emphasizes and encourages artist and writers to work together! Our vision is to have assigned characters illustrated by an artist and their story written by a writer to create a compelling storytelling experience. We would still however accept standalones for this project. More info can be found in our guidelines. |
Will ships be allowed? | No. The zine will only focus on the assigned character's portrayal within the crossover concept. However, background characters related to the assigned character are allowed and can be included in the illustrations or stories as long as they’re not the main focus. |
Will NSFW be allowed? | No, this is a SFW-project only. |
Is there a specific setting? | Nope! Contributors are free to express their design/story/illustration in whatever SFW way they wish! Be it about their spidersona’s happy everyday routine, a sad canon event or their involvement in the movies/comics, etc within the One Piece universe, a modern alternate universe or even somewhere in the spiderman franchise |
Can artists reuse their existing spidersona design? | Yes, but we encourage our contributors to either create a NEW design or UPGRADE/ALTER their current ones for the project, especially collab artists to allow writers to pitch in their own ideas if they wish. |
Will Spoilers be allowed? | Only spoilers up to Wano will be allowed! Therefore any characters that are post-Wano won't be allowed to be used as a spidersona. Though this zine will likely be a lot of AU we don't want people to get spoiled on the newer chapter content. |

They’ll ALSO have to include a single page featuring the character sheet of their spidersona’s design.Single Page artist : If you were not paired with a writer, we ask for a single page of an original illustration of the assigned character AND another single page featuring the character sheet of their spidersona’s design.Spread Artist: We ask for a double page of an original illustration of the assigned character(s).
